ASA - Gift AidJoin Today
All ASA Members
As you may be aware, following changes to former charity exemptions, the ASA has had to register as a charity with the Charity Commission. This has now been done, with appropriate governing documents and accounts now in place.
One benefit of becoming a registered charity is that the ASA is now able to re-claim tax paid on membership subscriptions if these are made under the Gift-Aid scheme. This additional income will enable the Trustees to maintain membership rates at their current levels. However in order to reclaim the tax, the ASA is required to hold a Gift Aid declaration from each member. Accordingly, it would be appreciated if you could complete the attached declaration form and return it to the ASA Office at the address above at your earliest convenience.
The declaration form can also be submitted electronically if this is more convenient for you. It is available here on the ASA website please follow the link: Gift Aid Declaration
The form also includes an option for you to update the ASA records with your current e-mail and DII addresses. This will enable us to provide you with timely notification of the AGM and other ASA events.
On behalf of the Admiral, Commodore and ASA Flag Officers, thank you for your continued support of the ASA.
