How do I become a Dinghy Instructor?

You will need the following mandatory qualifications:
- Dinghy Basic Skills plus Seamanship Certificate
- Powerboat Level 2 Certificate
- First Aid Certificate (Military ITD’s will suffice if it’s up to date and recorded)

What powerboat course is right for me?
- Powerboat Level 1-2 - Complete novices to powerboats with no formal qualifications
- Powerboat Intermediate - Holds the Level 2 certificate and wants to learn high-speed navigation and planning a short coastal passage
- Safety boat - Holds Level 2 certificate and wants to learn how to rescue a range of waterborne craft
- Advanced - Holds the Intermediate certificate and want to learn high-speed navigation, rough water techniques at night

What dinghy course is right for me?
- Dinghy Introduction/Basic skills Complete novice to sailing with no formal qualifications
- Dinghy Seamanship - Holds the Basic skills certificate and wants to learn anchoring, picking up mooring etc in a dinghy
- Dinghy Spinnaker - Holds the Basic Skills certificate and wants to learn how to launch, gybe and drop a spinnaker either asymmetric or symmetric (Separate courses for each)
- Dinghy Racing - Holds the Basic Skills certificate and wants to learn how to start, complete the course and finish a race held under ISAF rules.
- Dinghy Day Sailing - Holds the Basic Skills certificate and wants to learn how to plan and complete a short coastal passage in a dinghy
- Dinghy High Performance - Holds the Spinnaker or Racing certificate and wants to learn how to tune the sail and rigging for high performance
